About Artist
"Svetlana Stovba - was born in 1970 in the village of Ukrainskoe, Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukraine.
She took private lessons from academic painter Mikhail Alperovich in Dnipro. She attended painting workshops at the ""Brush Hero"" Art Studio in Dnipro. She worked with watercolors, oils, and acrylics. She would come up with her own imagery and paint intuitively. Although one could say that creativity has accompanied her throughout her life. Svetlana also had her own office furniture manufacturing business, where designers worked on developing concepts and designing new furniture series. This too is a form of creativity. After closing her manufacturing business, Svetlana began to paint. At first, she created works based on workshop exercises, and later she took private lessons. She has always been interested in the world of art. Svetlana is a frequent visitor to exhibitions, art events, and lectures on art. ""My soul sings through the canvas,"" she can say about herself. She mostly paints landscapes and is fascinated by silhouette painting. Svetlana explores the issue of climate change. In her series of works on this topic, she conveys her vision of what could happen to our nature and how to preserve it. She wants to convey to the viewer that the future is in our hands. We create reality through our actions. Nature, literature, attending plays or concerts inspire her to paint. Throughout this time, Svetlana has participated in competitions and exhibitions.

“Painting for me is an opportunity to reflect the beauty that surrounds us and convey it to the viewer. It is a silent mystery of the soul that strives for perfection. Through my paintings, I attempt to show how fragile and astonishing our world is, the marvel that unfolds through the interaction of brush and colors, and how art can communicate something profound and intimate to the viewer.”
