About Artwork
I started the series "Grass" works in 2015. Why herbs? In the process of experiments with oil on canvas, both an idea and a concept appeared, on which I continue to work even now. I get distracted from time to time by other projects, but I come back to my grasses again and again.
The topic was chosen instinctively, because nature, in particular plants, is my main source of inspiration. I can endlessly watch the sea of swaying grasses, look at the q chaos of riotous plants, which, in fact, is a clearly aligned and ordered structure, and then transfer my feelings and emotions from what I see to the canvas.
I admire nature and strive to show its majesty, but I do it through my unique vision, not trying to simply paint or imitate it. Instead, I create semi-abstract paintings that capture harmony and order even within the apparent chaos.
The dominant color is green. This choice symbolizes the vitality, renewal and rebirth inherent in nature. The planet earth itself, for me personally, is green, not blue, as it is usually considered to be. Green color is also associated with harmony, peace and balance, these are the qualities that I try to convey in my works.
