JOHN MCKINNON CRAWFORD (1931-2005)
Scottish painter in the Colourist tradition. Originally from Hamilton he trained at the Glasgow School of Art under Mary Armour, and later at St Martin's in London. He was art principal at Campbeltown Grammar School and principal advisor in art and design for the Scottish Highlands. McKinnon's work was exhibited widely, including at the Royal Scottish Academy and Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and is also held in several prestigious corporate collections.
